Why shoot film?

Film is timeless, authentic, and incredibly intentional. It is full manual settings and manual focus. It is truly a fine art as I am constantly envisioning each image in advance. There is no course correction. It pushes me to slow down, pay careful attention, focus more on the connection of the subjects in the image, and ultimately helps me be a better photographer. The coloring is unique and the skin tones captured through film are unmatched in digital. With only 16 frames in each roll of film, I am patiently waiting to capture only the best shots. In a world consumed with instant gratification, film is definitely worth the wait.

“We couldn't have asked for a better photographer to capture our wedding day. Olivia's eye for lighting and details make all of her photos so beautiful and she really knows how to capture all the wonderful emotions that come with a wedding! She went above and beyond by helping with my veil and dress, when needed, all while keeping a calming and friendly presence. She's a delight to work with and her work truly speaks for itself! I would recommend Olivia to any bride.”
