Highlights of Henry’s birth and lifestyle newborn session!

I am so thankful for amazing clients who trust me to capture once in a lifetime opportunities. the birth of your first child is a priceless moment and i could not feel more called to document and share this with you.

The first few weeks with a newborn are fleeting, and sleep deprivation makes memories hazy at best. I wish i had more photos of my 3 girls as newborns in this same poetic, yet artistic story-telling way! that is why it is such an honor to document this special time for each and every client.

It’s not just another session for me, it’s making sure we capture the specific things you want to cherish forever. And sometimes that happens organically in the moment.

each session is similar in the fact that there is a baby involved. However, each family is unique & my greatest goal is to highlight the beauty while telling your specific story.

I want to tell you about one of the funniest photos i have taken thus far. Sweet Henry’s grandmother knitted him a sweater “sac” and requested a photo of him in it. (yes…lol) needless to say, we did our best trying to make it work. Henry was not a fan of the sac as you could have guessed, but this was his mama’s favorite photo from the day.

I am betting this wont be the last homemade sweater he is forced to wear throughout his lifetime!

Reality is this, life is not perfect!

the season of littles (or waiting for littles) is not easy. I am still in the thick of it, marching through the mud right there with you.

My desire is to provide quality images and be a source of encouragement & community to mothers in all seasons of life. i do not ever want the squares on my instagram page or pinterest account to misrepresent the intentionality behind my mission.

I like to keep things real and will almost always include “real-life” images in your gallery for a laugh! so whether you are absolutely killin’ it right now, or just surviving each day like me, i am here for you!!
